We arrived early, and the hotel held our luggage without a problem. After the wait, being allowed to check in around 1 p.m. made a real difference. The location was convenient for getting around without a car, and the lobby made a welcoming first impression. Breakfast was a real highlight for the price. The food was very good, the setup was organized, and the staff there were kind and attentive, which made mornings relaxed. In an expensive city like Denver, having a breakfast that good included felt like a great deal. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel seemed well maintained. There was a small toilet issue: the chain sometimes stuck, so the tank wouldn’t refill fully unless I adjusted it by hand. We were busy and I didn’t get around to reporting it. Apart from that, we had a great stay and thought it was very good value.

Kevin made my stay especially memorable. He was friendly and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. As the first person I interacted with in Denver, he really set a positive tone for the trip. I spent five days at the Hampton inn for an event at the convention center. The location worked perfectly for me, my room was clean, and service from the staff was good. I’d highly recommend the hotel and its team.

After the mix-up with the app, I decided I didn’t want to risk a stay full of problems and left. I’d seen reviews mentioning reservation and credit card charge issues, and there are other Hilton properties nearby, so I’d suggest choosing one of those if you can. I’d made a reservation in the HH app and started a chat to ask about early check-in. I also told front desk “Mgr” Kevin I wanted to wait for a reply in the app. Three hours passed without an answer. In seven years, I’d never waited more than 5 to 10 minutes for a chat response, and I hadn’t known the front desk answered those messages. I called HH as a Diamond member to ask why nobody had replied. After they called back, I was told I could check in, so I did it in the HH app, chose a room, and requested a digital key. Again, there was no response. I called HH back about the missing reply and key. Kevin told HH to have me come to the desk to check in. I didn’t understand why, since Hilton offers self check-in and digital keys for a quick, contactless experience. I reluctantly went over and showed Kevin the app and chat. He said he couldn’t see a chat on his end, even though I showed him mine. Then he said, “well if you give me your id I can check you in.” The Diamond desk had already verified me twice and called him twice. I asked whether I still had the room I’d checked into in the app, and he said he hadn’t assigned me one. Then Kevin added, “well when I STAY AT HOTELS, I go to the front desk to check in.” He seemed not to like the digital age. Hey Kev, it’s 2026, not 1996. Maybe let Hilton know you’d rather everyone come to the desk and they can get rid of the digital key.

I’d gladly come back. The hotel was conveniently located, and everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful, and professional. The gym was the best I’ve ever used at a hotel, with lots of clean, well kept equipment. Breakfast had a good range of choices too.

The stay at Hampton was great apart from what happened with my truck. The valet caused $9800 in damage, then tried to hide it. When I got the truck back, it was parked facing the opposite way from every other car. I only noticed the damage because I walked around to put my backpack in from the other side. If I hadn’t, I would have driven home without knowing. Three panels are dented, and the car’s sensors and collision alerts warned the driver it had been hit. They still tried to conceal it. I tried to avoid the mandatory valet parking, but PMC had to park my car, and now I expect to be dealing with this for at least a month. I’m posting this in the hope it speeds up the claim. PMC corporation doesn’t answer its phones. I hope they respond so I can delete this review. Update: A week after they accepted responsibility and I sent in the estimate, there was still no response, no answer to my calls, and no callbacks. I was driving around in a wrecked truck. They don’t use insurance, so I’m stuck waiting on their very slow process. This is why I never valet my car, and I wouldn’t have here if it hadn’t been mandatory. This should be illegal. Update 2: Two weeks later, they finally got back to me after reviewing my estimates. They decided my collision center estimates of 9500 and 9800 were too high and offered me 9200 in cash, which would probably leave me paying 800-1000 out of pocket. At this pace, I’ll be driving a wrecked vehicle for at least two months.
