The location was ideal, with a ten-minute walk to town or a two-minute drive. Joe, the owner, was attentive, check-in was easy, and he invited me to look at the other rooms since they were empty. They’re gorgeous, and I’d happily stay in any of the four. The grounds are lovely too. I spent two nights at the Carriage Barn B&B and really enjoyed it. The guest area is comfortable and nicely furnished, with a kitchenette available. In the morning there’s a pleasant continental breakfast and very good coffee from Brewbakers Cafe on Emerald St. I’ll come back and highly recommend it. Keen is a lovely medium-sized city with a great vibe.

We only stayed one night in Keene, but it was a cozy room and the atmosphere of this 1810 house was just right. Joe, the owner, chatted with us and told us a little about the house and the establishment. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We hope to return in the spring. This BnB is an easy walk from downtown Keene, and self check-in went smoothly when we followed the texted instructions. We got to meet Joe over continental breakfast and chat with him. He’s charming and shared some history about the original building with my wife.

We usually choose chain hotels when traveling with my brother and our wives, but wanted to try something different and were pleasantly surprised. Will, the owner and host, was great and took care of everything we needed. Our rooms and bathrooms were clean and really nice, better than the chains. We relaxed on the deck and in the shared spaces, which made for a lovely evening. We weren’t sure what breakfast would be like, but Will had good coffee and breakfast drinks ready, along with fresh fruit and a few other options. We travel often, and I’d highly recommend this property.
