Hampton Inn & Suites Keller Town Center

The lack of housekeeping was frustrating. We were there for three nights, and nobody came to replace the towels or take out the trash, even though that was meant to happen after night two. The body wash was empty by then, so it hadn't been topped up before we arrived either. I've stayed here twice before and don't recall these problems. Maybe having a manager on site would help. Parking also added $7 per day to my bill. Nobody asked if I had a car or mentioned the fee at check-in or check-out. I could have parked on the street, where there are lots of spaces right outside, instead of using the hotel's large lot. For a suburban hotel with plenty of parking, this is one of the last places in America that should be charging for it. The location is nice, and you can walk to coffee, a bar, a grocery store, and other places. It's a shame this is the only place around. Maybe one night would be fine if you park on the street.

Marcie was at the front desk when I arrived tonight without a reservation, and she remembered me from my stay here last year. She was really helpful when I asked for a favor. This is my second time at this Keller, TX property. The lobby is huge, open, and decorated more like an upscale hotel, so it gives a luxury first impression. Breakfast is very good, too.

Breakfast was very nice for something included, and there are other restaurants within walking distance. I was here for work, and the commute to Westlake was easy. The staff were wonderful throughout my five nights, from the front desk when I arrived very late, or early, on Saturday, to housekeeping, the kitchen staff, and everyone else at the desk. My room was clean and the bed was comfy, though I could hear everyone coming down the hallway. I travel to the area often and would stay here again.

The breakfast is still good, but the place has cut back on a lot of services since the times we stayed here over the years when it used to be great. During this stay the toilet backed up, and they had nobody available to unclog it. They handed us a plunger and said we had to do it ourselves. Parking now costs $7 a night, too.
