Aloft by Marriott Miami Dadeland

We needed a hotel that would work for family flying in without cars, and Aloft Miami Dadeland made that easy. It felt safe and accessible, with things to do within walking distance and in the lobby, plus food on site and nearby. During our nearly two-week stay in early April, after my father passed away, the staff’s care made a difficult time much more manageable. Gabriela helped us arrange a repass in the lounge, guiding us through the details while we planned remotely from another country. She was responsive and thoughtful throughout. Ivan from housekeeping checked on us each day with real kindness, and the rooms were consistently clean. At the front desk, Angel and Chris welcomed us from the start. Being greeted by name every day gave us some comfort and familiarity amid all the stress. There was also a surprising connection to a previous trip: the bartender from SpringHill Suites by Marriott Miami Airport South Blue Lagoon Area, where I stayed in November 2024, was working at Aloft. He remembered my family and me, and seeing a familiar face then was especially comforting. I’m grateful to the whole team for their compassion, professionalism, and support. I won’t forget how much they helped us through that period.

Angel’s friendly, warm manner made the whole stay more enjoyable. He’s attentive and helpful, and it’s clear he takes pride in making guests feel comfortable and valued. From arrival, he was welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. He consistently goes out of his way for people, and that positive attitude stands out. Staff like Angel leave a lasting impression. I really appreciate his service and hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

The free ground-level parking and dog park were nice extras, and it’s a pet-friendly hotel. The place has a bright, modern look after a recent renovation, and the people are nice. For the price, it’s hard to ask for more, especially with the convenient location. I’d recommend getting breakfast included in the room rate. Give it a try, you’ll love it.

This was one of my worst Marriott stays, and I won’t be back. The rooms were loud from the highway, and I was moved three times. One had dirty floors, another had drain flies in the bathroom, and the last room had an unmade bed. The lobby smelled like fish, and staff weren’t always at the front desk because they were short staffed. I had specifically asked not to be placed by an elevator, but the final room was right next to one. When I asked for another room, the front desk employee refused. I gave up, since I had an early meeting and didn’t want to drive almost two hours home. The employee working the desk was arrogant and showed no sympathy.
