The Rhumb Line Resort

The rooms are a little dated, but spacious, and ours had a balcony or porch overlooking the courtyard. The friendly staff made us feel welcome. Katie at the front desk walked us through everything and gave us great suggestions for food, drinks, and things to do nearby. There are indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. It was getting cold when we visited, so using the indoor hot tub was a big plus. The continental breakfast was a nice bonus. For the KennebunkPort area, the Rhumb Line Resort is super affordable and well worth the money. I had a fantastic three-night stay and would definitely return.

The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the hosts are so pleasant and helpful. It's a casual resort with lots of extras, including two pools, two hot tubs, and a great range of breakfast options. Spend some time in the outdoor hot tub looking up at the stars. This is our favorite hotel in Kennebunkport.

The front desk staff were helpful and pleasant, and the entrance looked very nice. The rooms needed updating, especially the bathroom: the curtain rod and tub drain were rusty, the space was small, and the toilet sat about a foot off the floor. There was just a rubber stopper for the tub drain. We were told the restaurant was past the pool, but it's really a small outdoor bar with picnic tables. You order at the bar, then put the paper plates and plastic utensils in bins at the ends of the tables. I wasn't impressed.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and we will definitely stay again. We booked two nights through Expedia for a last-minute anniversary trip, though I was a little nervous because my husband had picked the Rhumb Line Resort by mistake. It turned out to be just right, in a great spot outside the bustle of Kennebunkport and close to Wells and Ogunquit. We spent most of our time sightseeing and eating at local places. Our room was clean, the furniture was well loved and a bit dated, and the bed was cozy. I liked the outdoor setup: hot tub, pool, bar and restaurant, grassy sitting area, and fire pit. The outdoor hot tub was perfect. Our older kids didn't come along, but this would've been one of our favorite summer trip spots when they were younger. The fitness center and sauna were closed during our stay, and the sauna needs serious updating. The indoor pool and hot tub area was okay, but also needs maintenance and attention.
