Days Inn by Wyndham Kenner/New Orleans Airport South

After eight hours at the airport and three canceled flights, we needed somewhere to stay. They picked us up in about 15 minutes, and the shuttle runs free in both directions. The price was reasonable, the room was clean and recently updated, and the staff were so welcoming. Of all the places we’ve stayed in NOLA, this was easily the friendliest and cleanest.

The rooms look current and were very clean, and getting into the parking lot requires a key card, which felt secure. Staff have been polite so far. I was surprised there wasn’t a fridge or microwave, so I’d say this works best for a short stay. I guess an airport hotel may not need a fridge unless someone needs one for insulin.

Room 332 was clean, pleasant, and looked like the photos. The recent renovation seems to have been done well, and the price is why I picked this place instead of my usual Ramada in Metairie on my January 11, 2026 visit to New Orleans. The sink was the one problem. It drained slowly the night before checkout, and in the morning there was a bad smell from the water meeting human waste in the pipe. Since I was leaving after a day trip, I didn’t make a fuss or ask to switch rooms, but I told the front desk lady to let maintenance know. I hope she passed it along. I’d stay here again, though next time I’ll run the water when I first arrive to check things. If you rent a car at MSY, the drive over takes less than three minutes.

The staff at the desk were great, kind, and willing to answer questions, and the hotel has a free airport shuttle. Call to check availability. The hot breakfast each morning was a nice extra, and it’s about 25 minutes from the tourist spots. It was my first trip to New Orleans, and I had a great time in the French Quarters and on Canal street. For parking in the French quarters, Premium Parking is very expensive. New Orleans Public parking or the garage at Ceasars casino cost a lot less. I recommend this hotel and plan to use it again when I return. Thanks for helping make my trip enjoyable. Every hotel has issues, and they’re willing to put things right within reason. I wonder if some of the negative reviews are meant to keep this place hidden.
