Super 8 by Wyndham Kennewick

There wasn't much breakfast left by 9, even though it runs until 10 on weekends. Housekeeping was knocking on doors an hour and a half before checkout, trying to get in. The room smelled like something dead or rotting when we walked in. The hotel was out of clean towels, and we only needed three extra. The front desk didn't apologize or try to find anything for my kids to dry off with after the pool and shower. It was okay overall, but even as someone who watches her budget, I'd spend a little more for a nicer place.

The hot tub was the letdown. I’d been looking forward to it, but the jets didn’t work. My body was aching from travel and I really needed that relief. Hopefully it’s working next time. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The pool was awesome and just the right temperature, and the staff were helpful and great. The place was clean and smelled clean, too. It is pretty dated, though, and the beds felt old. Breakfast was basic. For this price range, I’d still call it great, even if it’s more of a solid good.

Angela W at the front desk treated me really well, and we had a nice little chat. I hope I have her name right. She’s an older lady with glasses, and she has twins born on 11-11-11 🙂 Thanks, Super 8, for having employees like Angela. I was traveling from Oregon up to Eastern WA Pasco, stopping along the way to visit family. I’d planned to drive straight back to my home in Olympia, but decided to get a room at Super 8 instead, and I’m glad I did. Breakfast was really good, and my room was clean and comfortable. I slept well.
