The staff were consistently helpful and courteous, and several times they checked whether I needed anything. That made a difference for me, and is why I gave the stay four stars. I was there for work, had plenty of outlets, and could use the small business center and conference room. Coffee and hot water were available around the clock, and staff were happy to refill the hot water. My work group was satisfied with the accommodations, and I was treated well. There’s a pool and a few other small amenities, including things kids would enjoy. The property is generally well kept, security patrols regularly, and I had no cleanliness problems. A guest spilled coffee in the elevator; staff responded promptly, though the floor stayed wet because they kept the elevator in service. I also noticed some things left under furniture, probably because they were turning rooms over quickly. There were no bedbugs, kissing bugs, or lingering cigarette smells, though some guests smelled strongly of marijuana. Given the area, I suppose that can happen. The fitness room was basically treadmills, which is about what I’d expect. The main issue was noise. The rooms badly need soundproofing: you can hear conversations and traffic from the busy road outside. I was next door to another person on my team, so we sometimes disturbed each other while on calls. They offered me another room or somewhere else to work, but I didn’t want to be a bother over a minor issue. I’d look for a quieter option next time, but if price mattered, I’d stay again. The Wi-Fi is slow, so plan to pay a few dollars a day for faster access or use a hotspot. Breakfast could be improved too. The containers are too small: after two or three people have cereal, there’s no milk. The hot food was decent, but portions were small and the items weren’t spaced out. The location is handy for nearby businesses and travelers who don’t want to pay the much higher airport-area prices.

We stayed overnight before a flight. The hotel was only seven minutes from the airport and much cheaper than the other nearby places. The grandkids got to use the pool, though it was pretty cold, so they ended up playing in the hot tub instead. Most of the pricier hotels had their pools closed. The beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly, and everything looked clean. Breakfast was available, but we didn’t have any.

The property and common areas were clean and well maintained, and the updated rooms were clean too. Staff were fantastic, especially at the front desk. Maura deserves a shout-out. The breakfast team kept everything clean and well stocked in the morning, and breakfast itself was great. What kept this from five stars was the $250 incidental fee. For people who stay at Hampton Inn, that seems very high. I’d expect that kind of hold at a full-service hotel or resort. Staff explained why they charge it, so I understand, but still, dayum lol.

I stayed here with the National Guard while we were helping with the floods over the holidays. After two weeks, when we were checking out, I found out I hadn’t received any credit for the stay through Hilton Honors. I’d signed up on the day I arrived, and the person I spoke with said I’d earned no points at all. The program is supposed to let you build points by staying at these hotels and eventually use them for a free stay of your choice. I don’t know whether I got scammed, or if the program is just a way to get people to book. I did eventually get a few points, but then customer service tried to sell me a package I didn’t want. I’m disappointed in the people running this program.

We’ve stayed at a few Hampton Inns around Seattle, and this one is our favorite, mostly because it has an indoor pool and hot tub. It’s great to soak there after a full day playing with our granddaughter. The other hotels were nice too, but that pool and hot tub make this one stand out for us.
