Southern Inn and Suites Kermit

The staff were friendly and helpful, and I loved the breakfast and dinner. We also liked the pool and the area where you can sit and visit. The room itself was nice and clean, and the bed was comfy. But the temperature controls were a mess, with no directions and lots of lights out, so it was hard to set things comfortably. The heater was on when we arrived and the room was burning hot. After several people tried to fix it, we finally got cold air, then we were freezing. We didn't want to touch it and risk the heat coming back, so we stayed cold. There was no hot water for showers either, which is a huge no for a room at this price. Then I went to use a hair dryer and there wasn't one. That really annoyed me. I stopped bringing mine years ago because every hotel has one, except yours, apparently. We were in town for a funeral, and dealing with all this was exhausting. I also expected the maid to clean during our three-day stay, but our room wasn't cleaned at all. We badly needed fresh towels and washcloths. I hope these problems get fixed for other guests.

The mattress was much too hard for me. I also couldn't get on the Wi-Fi after several tries, even when I went to the office.

I thought it was a little pricey while comparing options, but it was well worth spending a bit more. Breakfast was served hot and fresh each time, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was clean and updated, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A pleasant surprise for this area, and it'll be my first choice here next time. Highly recommend!

The staff went out of their way to make my family comfortable, and the customer service was excellent. Our room was clean, and there was breakfast and dinner every day. We enjoyed the pool and outdoor area in the evenings. It's a real hidden gem with small-town hospitality, and it offers much more than the other hotels around town. We'll definitely come back.
