Hampton Inn Kernersville

The room was great and the location was good, but breakfast was the worst I’ve had. There was no bread, English muffins, or toaster. The coffee was burned, and there was no chocolate milk for the kids like other Hamptons have. The only bananas were rotten, and there were no apples or oranges. We ended up driving to a nearby McDonald's. This place needs help.

Armstrong in the kitchen made breakfast and coffee feel special, and there was plenty of both. The coffee was hot, strong, always available, and the bar had everything set out. I loved hearing Armstrong say, “I truly Love what I do.” She and the whole staff deserve a shout-out. Everyone we dealt with, from check-in until we left, was attentive, polite, and a pleasure to talk to. The staff made this feel a step above a standard Hilton.

The rooms were quiet and really clean, and I slept well without hearing anything from the halls or nearby rooms. We also picked up the free breakfast on our way out, with enough options even for a picky eater like me. The staff were friendly and down to earth. I felt at home as soon as we started talking, and had a good time with everyone during registration. They even helped sort out my membership, which I hadn’t been using, and we had a few laughs. Sorry I left food in the fridge. I meant to finish it on the ride and only noticed after we’d left. 😁

The beds were VERY comfortable, and there’s hot breakfast plus coffee in the lobby around the clock. The area felt safe, and the property was clean and well kept. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as fast food and a convenience store less than a minute’s walk away in the business park. Veterans and Novant hospitals are about a mile away after one turn.
