Y O Ranch Hotel

Melissa was so kind and attentive, and made us feel truly looked after. Breakfast was simple and satisfying, and the hot coffee was fresh and strong, just how I like it. The Y O Ranch Hotel has a warm, Texas-true feel, with rustic wood, ranch memorabilia, and old-school Hill Country charm instead of a corporate atmosphere. We loved the personality. If you're passing through Kerrville and want character, comfort, and real hospitality, it's a great stop. 🤍

Our group was able to hold a short meeting in the spacious lobby after the day was over. The restaurant happened to be closed during our stay because some kitchen equipment had failed, but that was no problem for us. The hotel was very clean and had a beautiful lobby. We also had dogs with our group, and they were welcomed. Great place to stay.

The cowboy decor includes lots of taxidermy on the walls, so keep that in mind if it's not your style. There's a restaurant and full bar with live music, which made for a fun atmosphere. Our clean, spacious room was comfortable, and I liked having a separate sink area outside the bathroom, handy when someone else is showering. The property is very large and was sold out the day we stayed, so I'd book ahead. We enjoyed our stay and would return. The only downside was the doors, which slam hard enough to wake people in nearby rooms. Hopefully guests close them softly.

The lobby was impressive, and the front desk staff handled things politely. After we reported the dirty tile, the clerk said she’d let housekeeping know. When we came back that afternoon, the room smelled like cleaner and parts of the floor were still damp, but a fresh wet towel turned black again when we wiped the tile. It was just as filthy as before. We were staying in the Rio Grande section, and this made us leave two days early. The staff said a refund could be authorized after Expedia contacted them, and it was approved two days later. Everything else was average, but we wouldn’t stay here again with floors in that condition.
