Ocean Beach Club

I usually only pass through Marathon/Key Colony on my way to Key West, but this time I didn’t have time to go that far. I found Glunz resort in a Google search and liked that it had a beautiful beach, which is rare in the Keys. The beach and water were as pretty as they looked, and the hotel and staff were wonderful. Booking directly with the hotel came with nice extras, including early check-in or late check-out and gifts like wine and chocolate. There’s also a bar/restaurant right next door, which was convenient. Thanks so much to Shelbi, Melissa, and the rest of the great staff. I can’t wait to return with friends or family for a longer stay.

The beach and pool were both fantastic, clean, and easy to get to. Elizabeth also pointed us toward some great places to eat, and every one she suggested was incredible. Whenever we needed anything from the desk, Meliza and Haley were quick to help with a smile. Savannah was especially warm and friendly on the phone while we were making the reservation and answering our questions. We can’t wait to come back. You won’t be disappointed.

We’ve stayed at the Glunz for ten years now and love it. The beach-level rooms are our favorite, since you can walk straight out onto a well-kept beach. Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff were attentive and helpful. A special thanks to Shelby for upgrading our room for the week to mark our tenth visit. We highly recommend the resort.

The setting by the ocean is nice, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. But the rooms are tiny, with no closet or decent place for luggage. The refrigerator is very small and doesn’t work right, and the floors were so dirty our feet turned black unless we kept our shoes on. I probably won’t come back.
