Waterside Suites & Marina

I wanted an affordable but nice place for a couple of days in Key Largo, and this one looked promising. It ended up exceeding my expectations. The room was modern, very clean, and spacious across two levels, with a full kitchen, living room, and one and a half baths. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

BEWARE. We stayed this past week and had a bad experience. There was no one available to help with problems after 8:30-9 p.m. One night the AC/furnace kept clicking on and off and kept us all awake. Then someone showed up banging on our door at 7:30-8 the next morning. No text or call back. I was not happy after being up all night. The shower barely trickled. They replaced the shower head, but it made little difference, and it took forever to rinse shampoo out of your hair. The shower floor was dirty and grimy. The floors in unit 130 were dirty too, and there were no brooms available. They dropped off towels once when we asked, but never came to take out garbage, change the bedding, or make the beds. The biggest upset was the pool. We came from MI hoping to spend time there, but it was closed for four of our five days. For what we paid, that was ridiculous. We would have understood if we'd been told ahead of time. We would have stayed somewhere else.

We stayed three nights with my spouse and had an excellent experience. The room was clean, with a great kitchen for cooking our own meals, and the front desk service was friendly. It's centrally located in Key Largo, close to grocery stores, gas stations, a community park, and tourist attractions. My favorite part was sitting on the balcony, watching boats go by on the water. It was so peaceful. In the evenings, live music from the restaurant across the canal was just the right volume to enjoy from the balcony, but with the door closed we couldn't hear it when we wanted quiet. Great room, location, and price!

Great location, friendly service, and the rooms are perfectly adequate. The main issue for us was cockroaches in the kitchen. Everything else was great.
