The room was tiny, but cozy and had everything we needed. We only stayed one night, and the spot made it easy to walk around Key West. It was quiet enough to sleep, except for the roosters. Staff were friendly and let us leave our bags after we arrived early so we could go explore. Service was great, and coffee and mimosas in the morning hit the spot. Definitely recommend for a quick visit if you're going to spend your time exploring rather than in the room.

The location was the one good thing. Everything else was awful. There are ten rooms but only four parking spots, and even though I got there at 8:00 pm, no one could tell me how to rent one. The room was about 10 feet by 10 feet. With two people inside, it was hard to move around, even getting to the bathroom. The bed made a lot of noise whenever you moved. Don't put much stock in all the five-star posts, maybe they're from friends and family. I did get a decent shower after checking other pictures, but the water lines need fixing. The sink took five minutes, and the shower took three or four hours. Reviews say some are even smaller.

The location is good, but it couldn't make up for two uncomfortable nights. There isn't enough parking, so guests have to drive around looking for an overnight spot, which is hard to find in Key West. The bed was fragile, shaky, and far too tall to sleep comfortably. The bathroom was old and out of date, though clean, and the towels weren't very clean. The front door's digital lock was temperamental, and the windows wouldn't open with reasonable force. An old hotel doesn't have to have old, dysfunctional facilities. This deserves one star, no more.

For my husband's birthday, we found this place at a really reasonable price and were pleasantly surprised. The room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and we slept like babies. There's a nice little outdoor area, almost like a balcony, and they thoughtfully provide coffee. The location was amazing, and check-in was so smooth. Our keys and room were ready without the usual front desk wait or hassle. I've seen comments that the rooms are small, but I thought ours was just right. Other places offer only a little more room for a lot more money. One thing to know if you're sensitive to smells: the strong fresh, clean scent in the room might bother you. I like it, but I'm sensitive to odors myself. After we left, someone at the front end texted to let me know I'd forgotten my charger and mascara. I really appreciated that kind of care. Other hotels and B&Bs have just put my things in lost and found for me to retrieve. Highly recommend, and I'll be back!

We got so tired and cold that we decided to leave. There was no heat, and during a cold spell we shivered all night in double clothes. Running the hot shower didn't help, because it never got hot. Later, staff told us the plumbing was reversed and we needed to run cold water to get hot water. They said a notice was posted in the room, but we never saw it. I wish someone had explained it at check-in. The owner refused to reimburse us for the other three nights, even though we offered a compromise: two nights on us and two on him. Our stay at Caribbean House was horrible. The room was unbelievably small, and the pictures didn't represent it accurately. Two people couldn't pass each other beside the bed, which was raised very high to make room for luggage underneath. The bathroom was postage stamp sized. We've stayed elsewhere in Key West over the years, and this place ranks at the bottom.
