Curry House

The beach towels were a plus, and I liked the colonial house style. But the building and especially the room were in rough shape. It was dirty and smelly, the furniture was beat up, and the shower barely worked. A very loud ventilation or pool heating system sat right by the room window, so peaceful sleep was a long shot. Given the high price and that noise, which felt inconsiderate of guests, I can’t give it more than one star. I wouldn’t recommend it or come back. There are much better options for the same or less money.

Key West was great, but the room was a letdown. Room 7 was at the top of a narrow, hot staircase, and the bathroom and shower were cramped. The air conditioning was loud and blew right onto the bed. There weren’t any amenities. The hosts were nice, but no one was actually there.

My boyfriend booked room 2 through air bnb. It was clean, and the bathroom had been updated. The main drawback was the shower pressure, which was barely there. The house is old, so the walls are thin and there’s only one electrical outlet in the room, though that’s to be expected. Parking wasn’t included, but we found a non resident spot easily and left the car there all weekend. The location was fantastic, with everything around town within walking distance. We had a great stay and I’d recommend it.

We loved the house, quirks and all, and have already booked it again for next year. We rented all 9 rooms for an event week, so the whole place was ours. The house, rooms, pool, and customer service were excellent. Victor was a huge help with advice and getting us what we needed, and Ryan, the shuttle driver, made it easy to get rides wherever we wanted to go. You can walk three blocks to Duval or Key West Bight, so the location is great. It is 115 years old, so there are a few little quirks. All 9 couples said they’d come back. We’d suggest a key code for the front door instead of carrying door keys, but that’s a minor hassle. Thanks for the great experience, Curry house crew!
