The Marquesa Hotel

The cafe’s breakfast and dinner were both incredible. The gnocchi at dinner was some of the best we’ve ever had. Our stay at the Marquesa hotel was a 10/10: beautiful, very clean rooms, especially gorgeous bathrooms, and two lovely pools with plenty of chairs. It never felt crowded. Staff were welcoming and knew the answers to our questions. We’ll definitely return.

We liked the grounds, the convenient location, the friendly staff, and the delicious food at the restaurant. Check-in was easy, and reception was welcoming. We had hoped for the suite we booked and paid for in the main building by the pool, but were given an odd upstairs suite reached by a narrow staircase. After a long day exploring Key West, that felt unsafe. The room smelled damp, and there was a roach on the couch. The TV didn't work at first, so a technician spent over an hour fixing it that night by switching the boxes between the bedroom and living room TVs. We needed the TV to sleep, but the glass on the room TV had about an inch of dust on it. We wanted to enjoy our stay, and I knew hotels in the Keys could be expensive and not in the best shape, so my expectations were realistic. I'm unsure about returning, but that's my honest experience.

The team made us feel welcome from the time we arrived, and everyone we spoke with was warm, professional, and ready to help with questions. Our room was comfortable, spotless, and clearly well looked after. I have high standards when I travel, and The Marquesa Hotel surpassed what I expected. It made for a relaxing, luxurious stay, and I'd gladly recommend it.

The pool was a favorite, calm and sparkling, with a lovely spot to lounge and a complimentary aqua fresca to sip. The rooms were spotless and beautifully designed, with wonderfully cold air conditioning that felt like a lifesaver in the Florida heat. After exploring Key West, coming back felt like retreating to a private oasis. The staff were attentive and warm from the moment I arrived, engaging without hovering, and every interaction felt sincere. They went out of their way to make my stay great. Hotel Marquesa has luxury, comfort, and service together, and I can't wait to return.
