The Gardens Hotel

We always get a “welcome home” when we arrive, which is why this is our favorite place to stay in Key West. Phil is so sweet and makes sure everything is taken care of for us at the pool and bar. In the evenings, Kate and Peggy greet us with hugs. The grounds are immaculate and the service is top notch. ♥️

We booked Poolside Cottages 1 and 2 for two couples, and connecting them gave us a perfect two-bedroom, two-bath suite. There was a shared sitting area with a kitchenette, plus a porch outside each unit. We also had a private pool shared with only two or three other units in our little gated “community,” which made the pool and living space feel very secluded. After a week here, I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. The location, breakfast, grounds, service and staff were all wonderful. Thanks to the owner and everyone who looked after us. We’ll be back!

Cottage #4 on the second floor felt like home, with a bit of Key West charm. Having our own kitchen and pretty much our own pool were definite highlights. This was our second stay at The Gardens Hotel, and it was just as good as the first. Breakfast was something we looked forward to every morning. Annette or Jorge always took good care of us, and an afternoon drink poolside with Dr Philgood was a lovely way to unwind. We also enjoyed spotting wildlife around the property, especially Lucy and the Tortoises, while walking with a glass of wine. We’ll absolutely return, though I wish it were sooner. Highly recommend for couples looking for a peaceful, safe place with the comforts of home.

The setting is beautiful, with gardens and a pool that make it feel like a secluded island, even though everything we wanted to see or do in Key West was just a block away. Breakfast is included and served in a lovely courtyard. The service was top notch, and the room was great, especially the super comfortable bed. I’m picky about that. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, and I can’t wait to return.
