The area is lovely, but I wouldn't stay in these villas again. Outside, the porch and deck were so filthy with leaves, oak pollen, and cobwebs that we couldn't use them, and it looked like the exterior hadn't been cleared of leaves or power-washed in ages. We arrived to find a torn-open trash bag on the landing. We live near Charleston, so we know palmetto bugs can be an issue, but regular pest service can keep them under control. During our two-night stay, dozens scattered across the deck and stairs in the evenings, and we found three inside. There were two couples staying, and we wanted to spend time outdoors.

Kiawah itself is beautiful, but skip these villas. They need updating, or at least a proper cleaning. Ewww.
