We were in town for two days of work and had a great stay. The breakfast had scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, and the usual continental options. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the bed felt like a cloud. It cost a little more than we usually prefer, but I’m glad we stayed. I’d recommend it to anyone nearby looking for a clean, comfortable place, and we’ll come back if we’re in the area.

Jamie and Bobby were great to deal with. My schedule was pretty unusual, and they worked with me to make the arrangements fair for us. Other hotels in the state have added fees when I’ve explained a schedule like mine, but Jamie just said, “Sure, we can work that out!” I stayed here a couple of weeks ago and will choose it again next time I’m nearby.

I haven’t interacted with much of the staff, but Kaylee, the upstairs housekeeper, has been amazing. She’s thoughtful, helpful, and understanding, and goes out of her way to make our mornings easier. We leave used bathroom items outside our doors, and she returns exactly what we put out, clean and bagged, with a “have a great day” note. I’ve stopped her several times with all kinds of questions, and she’s always polite, friendly, and direct. She’s a real asset to the hotel. Thanks, Kaylee, for going the extra mile!

The rooms aren’t cleaned in a timely way, if they get cleaned at all, and even a polite request seems to annoy the staff. Breakfast is often gone in the morning, and after a cold night of work it’s a rough return to what should feel like a home away from home. One morning, with ten hungry guys waiting patiently in the lobby at 7:30, the morning worker dropped a tray of sausage, picked it up off the floor, and put it into the warmers for guests. Seeing that happen in front of customers makes me wonder about the cleanliness standards behind the scenes. There’s no shortage of business here. Oilfield companies bring in a lot of money, and my company alone has sent them plenty of steady work, yet the standards keep feeling bare-minimum and worse over time. We’re a clean, professional group and tip generously when the bar is open, though it’s been shut down for months at a time. The Roosevelt in Watford is a very different experience: pristinely clean, warm with guests, and serving a full hot breakfast with fresh fruit and all the amenities, plus a large hot tub and pool. This place used to be OK, especially when Le-ann looked after us oilfield workers, but now it needs a complete transformation. The daytime staff member, a heavy young guy, ignored my request about a dog in the next room that barked all day and kept me awake while I was working nights. That seemed to go against the hotel’s stated policy. Instead of addressing it, he lectured me about propping my door open so I could come down and report it. It felt like playing mall cop while ignoring the actual problem. At this point, you’d almost be better off sleeping in your car. Do better, please.

I stayed for a week and Tina was amazing, so helpful she deserves a raise. The night front desk guy also does a great job with breakfast and keeps it coming, so there’s no need to worry about things running out. Great place, and I’ll be back whenever work brings me to the area.
