Friendship Inn

We never got paperwork or a list of hotel policies when we checked in. We paid through Cash App and moved in, with no rules explained. Later we learned there was a rule against being in the parking lot after 10 pm, though we'd already been there four days. The room closest to the street had a lot of problems: mice and roaches, a bed propped on wooden blocks, and people listening to your conversations. Most concerning, they go into your room without permission, which is against the law. There are a few rules on the office window, but guests should be told about them.

We paid a pretty reasonable price, and the area was quiet. Our room, number 120, was small and felt like it was from the 80s or 90s, but it worked for sleeping while we waited for the Fort Hood visitor center to open. No bugs, either. There's also a great tattoo shop right next door. The hospitality was better than at the other places we tried, so I'll definitely stay here again when I visit. Thanks for a good stay that didn't break the bank!

We spent just an hour in the room while trying to find somewhere else to stay. The mattress and sheets had yellow and brown stains, the smoke detector was sitting on the dresser, the door lock was detached, and there was a strange smell. When we arrived, no one was in the office, so we had to call the number posted on the window. Everything about this place was awful. We definitely overpaid, and I’d tell anyone to do their best to avoid it. I’ll be posting pictures to show that we’re telling the truth.

The room was immaculate. I checked the bathroom first, and it was spotless, even the end of the toilet paper was folded into a triangle. The bed was neatly made and very clean, and there was a fridge and microwave. The front desk employee who helped me was polite and courteous even at 3:00am. She told me checkout was at 11:00am, then asked if I needed extra time so I could get a good night's sleep. Housekeeping didn't wake me early, which I really appreciated. I still checked out at 11:00am, and I'd definitely come back. Great job by the staff and ownership, thank you.
