Motel 6 King Of Prussia, PA - Philadelphia

I’ve always had a good stay at this Motel 6. It’s clean, handy to get to, and priced reasonably, with reliable wifi every time. The whole team has been cordial and helpful, but Max especially stood out for being kind and understanding. I’d definitely recommend it.

The security situation made me uneasy: there was frequent police activity, people sleeping in stairwells, and little sign of management oversight. This place doesn’t feel worth the price, and the advertising seems misleading. If you run into the same problems, report them to the BBB and FTC. People shouldn’t pay for services that don’t match what was advertised. The online photos don’t show what the rooms are actually like. I found visible dirt on the walls, strong pet smells, and poor hygiene overall. For a pet-friendly hotel, the lack of deep cleaning was especially obvious. Hot water was unreliable, the TV only worked now and then, if at all, and the heat was out in multiple rooms. Staff often seemed nonchalant and unprofessional, with little concern about room conditions or guest complaints. After I asked for a partial refund because of these issues, I was later flagged from booking. That felt retaliatory, not customer-focused. A very disappointing stay.

It’s affordable, with lots of room options, and I can bring my dogs without worrying about being judged. We feel safe here and nobody bothers us, so it’s a nice local escape when I want a relaxing vacation away from home. I’d go back anytime.

The main reason I’d give this place three stars is the friendly, helpful staff. The location is decent, near the mall and right off the freeway, though that highway makes it hard to get around. Motel 6 also doesn’t charge extra for pets, while the other nearby hotels charge a lot more. The rooms are dumpy, and the hallways and common areas are dingy and dirty. At least two smoke detectors kept beeping nonstop with low batteries. Still, the staff were the one bright spot.
