We’re not coming back. We paid nearly $140, and getting enough usable towels for two adults and two small kids over two nights was a struggle. The first day there was one adult towel and one small one in the room. When I asked at the office, the woman gave me the same amount. The next night, after those towels were dirty, it took two calls and about 30 minutes to get another pair, both badly stained. Nobody came to collect the trash either, so I’m not sure there’s any housekeeping. The woman at the desk had a major attitude, and her limited English made it hard to address anything with her. I’d assumed the remodel might have improved things after reading the reviews, but I wish we’d gone somewhere else.

I was there almost two weeks, and I’d rather pay a bit more and stay somewhere else. I cleaned my own room, then they moved me to another one in a dark back corner where I felt unsafe. I’m 70 and was there alone, and I was actually scared. I left with them owing me money. They said they charged me for cleaning even though I’d cleaned the room myself. There’s more I could say, but I really don’t recommend this place. There are no phones in the rooms, and they never offered clean sheets or towels. There weren’t any washcloths either. I went three nights without sheets on the bed. The woman running it is very sweet, but she can’t speak English, so communicating gets frustrating. When I complained, the owner said she pays for my electricity and water and asked what the problem was. Isn’t that what a motel does? This is all true, sorry.

The people at the front seemed very nice, but the stay itself was rough. We were moved twice, ending up in four rooms between our crew and another group, because the first room was being renovated and shouldn’t have been rented out. There were bugs all over the counters, and we never got fresh towels unless we walked across the parking lot to ask. Sheets weren’t changed during our three nights, and sometimes the attendants took the trash without leaving bags, or didn’t take it at all. One day someone came in and shut off all the lights and the AC. It wasn’t great for four oilfield guys coming back from working in the heat to a hot room with no towels to shower with.

I’m glad I gave this motel a chance. The new owners are remodeling the rooms, and the ones already done look gorgeous. They’ve got fresh paint, new flooring, new linens, and Roku TVs. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was only a little better than sleeping outside. We knew this was a budget motel, though. We had a reservation, but when we arrived it took a while to find anyone. The desk person spoke so little English that I was about to use Google Translate. Neither of my two cards worked in their reader, so I went to Casey's and got cash from the ATM with the same card.
