I usually stay here when I’m in the area, for around 10 days or maybe less, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The rates are decent, much better than the outrageous price at the other motel I tried before someone told me about Motel 6 on Gaha Road in Kingston. It feels safe, it’s dog friendly, and my little Jack Russell knew where to go to the bathroom after the second time on our first day. The room is very clean and the shower gets hot right away. There was some traffic noise because it’s close to the interstate, but that was okay. Greg, the manager and owner, is a great person. The housekeeping staff are lovely and friendly, and would say good morning and chat with me each morning. The front desk people were always nice, too. On my first day, I didn’t have enough money for the deposit, and Greg helped me out a lot. The coffee was the best tasting I’ve ever had. Thanks to Greg and his staff for the stay. I’ll be back whenever I’m in the area.

They gave us several different prices. Online it was $69, then in person they said $100, then $90, and were willing to take off just $1, making it $89. They also wanted a $100 card deposit even though we were paying cash. They were trying to charge $200 for a room advertised at $65. Delusional.

The price quoted on the phone changed when we arrived, and they raised it again the next day, adding charges for the deposit and for two people that should’ve been included in the original price. On 12/26/2025, they knew my paycheck would be late because of the holidays. They came into my room twice without knocking, once for housekeeping and once to call me to the office, which they could have done by phone. At 4am on 12/27/2025, they woke me up to harass me for money and told us to leave. They’re crooks. Worst experience ever.

Greg came through when my mom and I were desperate for a hotel and couldn’t find anything else. He’s the coolest guy I’ve met. The place was very clean, inside and out, comfortable, and a great price. I definitely recommend staying here.

Absolutely don’t stay here. The people in the office were so aggressive that my mother, who was travelling alone, felt scared. The behavior was completely unacceptable, even for a Motel 6. I’ll be contacting the corporate office.
