La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Seattle Bellevue/Kirkland

Barry was the only staff member I found helpful and really nice. As other reviews mentioned, the rest didn’t seem happy in their jobs, and it felt awkward seeing them. The location is great if you’re okay paying a few dollars for the 520 toll road each time you cross it. Without that, driving downtown is twice the distance. The room got very cold unless I kept the heater on, and the building insulation was poor. The room was clean enough, but the furniture was old and cheap and due for an upgrade. It’s an old inn, though cleanliness was generally good. I liked that there were no parking or pet fees. Just don’t expect much breakfast. They don’t really offer one.

We weren’t blown away, but were happy with our stay and would gladly return. Check-in was easy, and the front desk staff were very friendly. The bed was comfortable, and we never heard people in the neighboring rooms, so the walls seem reasonably solid. The price was good for the area. I’d say 4.5 stars fits better.

The room’s new design and fun colors were nice. We had a king room with a fridge and microwave, plus a spacious bathroom counter that I liked. The TV and its remote were cool, and the hairdryer had great settings. Breakfast was great, and the room and linens were generally clean. It’s in a nice spot for taking a walk.

We had a nice couple of nights here, and would happily stay again. We picked it for the price and location. It was easy to drive to the places we wanted to visit in Bellevue and Kirkland, and we could walk to nearby restaurants or up to the park and ride if we didn’t want to drive into town. The hotel is close to busy roads, so there was steady road noise, but it didn’t bother us. The little outdoor pool was heated and pleasant even when the weather got cool. The hotel said it had recently been renovated, and they did a good job. Our regular king room was spacious, and the windows opened a little for fresh air. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
