Kirkwood is a ghost town in September, so bring food to cook in the well-equipped kitchen. The nearest restaurant is six miles away at Kit Carsen Lodge on beautiful Silver Lake. The surrounding scenery is stunning, almost impossible to describe, and you’ll be impressed. The owner has made this a special place, is helpful with directions, and makes entry easy.
It’s comfortable, with a short walk to the lift and small decks or patios. Fireplaces come with wood, and there’s a great room/lobby for hanging out with a large group. Parking is underneath, the elevator is a plus, and there are ski lockers and laundry somewhere.
The room was just right, and I’m really happy with it. The staff were excellent, and we had an epic day on the mountain!
This isn’t a condo, just a small unit.
