Room 23 had loads of space, including a surprisingly roomy tub, and housekeeping did a great job. I liked having tile floors, since they’re much easier to deal with after a day of beach sand than carpet. The pool was sparkling, and its Kool Deck surface meant no burning our feet as we walked around. The lot is a little tight, but that comes with beach parking. The owners were friendly and helpful, and with the beach right across the road, we’ll definitely be back at the buccaneer. Thanks for everything!

The owner was so sweet and made us feel right at home, and the place was very clean and comfortable. It’s an older motel, with dated rooms, paneled walls, older appliances and a bit of an old smell, but it still felt homey. Families have plenty to do: a shallow pool, basketball hoop, hammock, picnic spot, wooden playground and a deck by the pool. The ground-floor rooms have a sandy patch outside each door that was nice for kids to play on. There’s private beach access across the street, down some steep stairs; I’d worry about little kids tumbling back toward the road. Parking is snug, as you’d expect at the beach. I liked that it’s a drug- and alcohol-free motel, so we didn’t have to worry about partying teenagers. We’ll be back. I just wish we didn’t have to leave so soon.

The room was much larger and cleaner than I expected, with tile floors that must make it easier to get rid of the sand guests bring in. There’s a pool and even a basketball hoop in the lot, and the beach is right across the way. I wasn’t expecting much when we pulled in, but my mind changed fast. At less than $100 a night in summer, though this was after Labor Day, it felt more than fair. I’d recommend it and hope to return next year.

We had a three-bedroom efficiency for five of us, two adults and three kids, and it worked out great. The owners were friendly, the maid service was right on point, and we had nothing to complain about. Really affordable and a great place to stay.

Susan at the See Sea Motel referred us, and we were glad she did. The pool was clean, the beach is right across the street, and there’s a spot to cook. The place was accommodating, with free WiFi, room service and terrific staff. We could only stay two nights this time, but we’ll book again next year. Very affordable, too.
