Days Inn by Wyndham Klamath Falls

The location gets two stars since it’s near some food and coffee, but I wouldn’t stay here again. I’ve been here during the remodeling before and it wasn’t this bad. This time, because we had an animal with us, we were put in an old, unupdated room. The Google pictures mostly show the renovated rooms. It was especially disappointing to find out that service animals also get put in those rooms. I was charged for my service animal too, and only got told it would be refunded after I called. I shouldn’t have to point all this out. If one side of the hotel has been updated, why not fix the other half? As soon as I walked in, there was a smell like sweat and pee. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, so we used a roll we’d brought because my son is potty training. The beds had crumbs, the sheets didn’t look changed, and they weren’t comfortable. In the morning there were ants all over the nightstand by the phone chargers and my water bottle. Breakfast was disappointing too. The cereal, maybe Fruit Loops, was brown and stale. The waffle choices were plain and pumpkin, which seemed odd for January. Yogurt and coffee were about the only things that seemed edible. There were oatmeal packets, but the milk was cold and I couldn’t see a microwave, unless I missed it. Maybe we just got a bad room, or maybe it’s the whole unupdated side, but I’d tell anyone traveling with an animal to stay clear. I wouldn’t recommend it or come back.

For a work trip, this was one of my best stays in several months. I had plenty of room and a strong internet connection, and breakfast was just what I needed. As a rewards member, I asked about early check-in and a room request, and the staff welcomed both.

Leilani at the front desk was warm, welcoming, and helpful, and we’d gladly come back. Our two queen room was clean and spacious, especially for the very reasonable price. The gym was basic, but clean, cool, and useful. Breakfast wasn’t fancy, but there was plenty of it. It may not be a typical five-star hotel, but the experience felt five-star.

The heater was broken in our first room, but they moved us to another one and fixed the problem quickly. Apart from that, it was amazin. The motel is big and the restaurant is great. I’d give it 4.5 out of 5, with the heater as the only problem.
