I’m beyond disappointed with this hotel and the assistant manager’s behavior. She needs to learn to speak to people properly instead of talking to them like they’re two years old. The general manager is so rude that she makes people cry, and there’s a lot of favoritism. I’ve stayed here since Monday and check out Saturday. They’re remodeling and getting rid of old furniture, with posts saying people can come get free things, but for some reason I’m not allowed to take anything like everyone else. I’ve done nothing to this woman. I could have left when we checked in, since they didn’t mention the construction on their website. The room photos they provide are false advertising; the rooms don’t look like that, and I have pictures I’ll attach. I also asked some staff, and they were very nice, but during my almost week-long stay I encountered more than a handful I didn’t care for at all. Rude, rude, rude. Kindness and being considerate of what someone else may be going through matter a lot in the hotel industry nowadays.

The rooms are filthy and stained, and everything feels so old and run down that it seems impossible to clean. The night manager called the cops because guests came over for pizza and cake for a little girl’s birthday. They were polite and respectful, but she apparently doesn’t like people having fun. She didn’t care that one of the children she evicted was only one year old, or that the guests had driven over an hour to get there. She seemed pretty proud of herself. Don’t plan a birthday there, and stay far away. They’d paid for two rooms but stayed only three hours, and she denied them a refund. I suspect she pocketed the money. Looking at the reviews, they obviously have fake ones to make this seem like an okay place, but trust me, it isn’t. Disgusting place.

The restaurant is closed right now, and I hear they’re closing the hotel in June to finish the remodel, with Hampton Inn taking over. Given the smells, they should discount the rooms until then, or people might as well wait for the remodel. My second stay in two weeks was much worse than the first: the room smelled like someone had just smoked a cigarette. The front desk said it was from when smoking in rooms was allowed. Unbelievable. Does that mean the carpet and paint have never been changed? The carpets are old, the hairdryer didn’t work, and I heard my neighbor’s alarm about three times. Breakfast was bad; they should just forget it.

It’s a great location and very family-friendly, with a pool and an early snack-style breakfast. The front desk service was great, too. There’s a McDonald’s with a play place next door and great coffee at Brewvada up the street. The only problem was that we requested room service and never got it, so we had to maintain the room ourselves.

I just spent a night at Shilo Inn Klamath Falls, and it was a nasty place. The rooms smelled so bad I could hardly breathe, and the carpets were filthy. Breakfast was just cold muffins and cold cereal, with no hot food. Handicap parking spots had been taken down so employees could park there, and orange cones were reserving them. Unreal. I can’t wait for Hampton Inn to come in. That’s a great hotel.
