Super 8 by Wyndham Klamath Falls

Rebecca stood out most during my stay at Super 8 in Klamath Falls. She was so kind and friendly, and I loved the service and warm welcome. 10/10, would recommend.

The rooms felt safe and were very comfy, and the staff were great. Breakfast was nice, though it could use some work. I had a really nice stay and would come back. Being pet-friendly is always a plus!

We only stayed because we were behind schedule, it was late, and we were exhausted. The room was filthy, and we would have left otherwise. We slept fully clothed because it smelled strongly of Raid or some kind of pesticide. There were dead bugs on the air conditioner, dirty walls, broken mismatched curtains, no screen on the window, no lampshade, streaks on the mirror from what looked like liquid running down, built-up black dust and filth on the air conditioner vents, and blackened, burned outlets. In the morning, I told the woman at the front desk who said she was the manager. She handed me $30 for the inconvenience and said, “Yeah, bugs come in this time of year through the windows and then die,” as if that were normal there. Maybe a screen would help. She wouldn’t give me any contact information for the owner.

The upper floor was much nicer and smelled better. Most things were clean and working, and at less than $50 a night I was pleasantly surprised. We were first given an accessible room on the main floor, but it was next to what was most likely a displaced homeless person who was yelling and screaming, so they moved us upstairs. The main floor halls smelled more like smoke, and the room was stuffy. Its windows were below ground level, so it would be really easy for someone to break in. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, though the sheets seemed newer. It was definitely worth staying here and driving to Crater Lake. We were told breakfast had waffles, two kinds of cereal, and fresh fruit, more than I expected. They were stingy with the fruit and pulled items early. They could also use some hand towels and tissues; we only had washcloths and large towels.
