Cook Loft

Cook Loft is a decent, nice-looking place, though nothing especially special. I stayed there the previous year and enjoyed it, so I booked it again for a 2019 event. The manager said he had my payment details and was holding it for me. When I later called to add a night, he told me he had rented it to someone else. He apologized casually for the mistake, then hung up on me. I wouldn’t trust them with a reservation. He seemed nice and responsible during my first booking, but something has changed. There are lots of downtown Knoxville venues for events and short stays, so I’d look elsewhere.

It looks like the place has been remodeled since I stayed there a few years ago, and I can’t wait to return. It’s beautiful and elegant, but still feels homey, and it’s among the most luxurious properties for nightly rentals in Knoxville. If it fits your budget, don’t pass it up!

The stairs are a serious concern. Three people in our group fell, and one was pretty badly hurt. I’d suggest wearing shoes with grip, or the owner should add something to make the stairs less slippery. The place itself is very classy and beautiful, really spacious, and has everything you need for an overnight stay.

Hello Tea just opened this week (9/24/21), and the tea is phenomenal. The lemon ginger tea was outstanding. Everything is fresh, and I watched them make the tea carefully, paying attention to the details.
