The house is full of history, and the rooms are well appointed. Doug and Faith are hospitable, kind hosts who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast is so good, and we love staying here. For us, it’s the only and best choice when we visit Knoxville.

The house and porch are gorgeous, and the hosts are generous and interesting. They offer delicious breakfast and snacks, along with fantastic hospitality. I’ve stayed twice already, and wouldn’t consider anywhere else when I’m in Knoxville.

The space is large, with a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and a small bathroom, and it’s nicely decorated. But the pet urine odor was so strong and persistent that we couldn’t bear it and left after one night, losing the booking for our second night. On arrival it smelled strongly of bleach, which I took to mean it had been cleaned very thoroughly. After we came back from a hike that evening, the bleach smell had disappeared and the urine odor was overwhelming. We bought a candle to cover it, but it didn’t help. Based on our stay, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The huge custom woodwork and inviting space make this beautiful house a great fit for events, parties, and other get-togethers. It’s full of Knoxville and East Tennessee history.

The food was amazing, the bed was comfy, and the quarters were roomy. The hosts were gracious and made me feel welcome right away. It felt like I’d found my tribe, and I’ve made friends for life. My only choice in Knoxville! :)
