Days Inn Kosciusko/North Of Carthage

The room had recently been renovated, but housekeeping had left a lot of dust behind. The rest of the room was dusty too, and there was dried-on grime on the phone and clock. We ended up dusting everything ourselves.

The shower was a real plus, with good water pressure, and the AC worked amazingly well. The staff were very nice, and the hotel and rooms seemed either well maintained or freshly remodeled. It has an older 70s or 80s style, though, and both the room and especially the bathroom were on the small side. I stayed while working in Kosciusko.

The second room hadn't been properly swept in a while, and we had to keep our shoes on. I didn't see any bugs there after checking carefully, but in the first room there was a bug on the bed pillow that looked like a bedbug to me. I took it to the front desk, and the woman seemed offended when I said I'd checked the rest of the bed. The desk in the room was broken and couldn't support weight, and the furniture was dated and scratched. The tub was dirty, and the back of the toilet hadn't been wiped down. I would have asked for my money back if there had been another option within 30 miles, but there wasn't. Don't be fooled by the other reviews posted repeatedly by the same person. This place wasn't what it seemed.

The place was dirty, and most of the chairs around the pool were broken. I counted 8 out of 10 broken, and one of the chairs had blood on it.
