Hampton Inn Kyle

The hotel was clean, breakfast was well stocked, and the people there seemed nice. I booked two rooms and later added a night to one of them. When I checked my card statement, I saw two charges for that extra night, one at 2:22 am and another at 2:28 am. The front desk clerk was curt, kept asking the same questions, and acted as though I didn't know what a double charge looked like. She ended the conversation by saying there was only one charge on her end. Without that interaction, I would have rated the service five stars. I'm replying here because it's the only way I can respond to The Hampton Inns comments. They're partly right that the room was booked through a third-party site, but I paid at the hotel. My card was charged twice for $182.78, at 2:22 am and 2:28 am. I did buy incidentals at their Treat Shop, but not $182.78 worth, and not at 2:28 am. A proper review of the records would show those purchases were much less and happened at another time. Be careful and watch your card charges. They don't seem to take care when running cards or bother to correct their mistakes. This has been such a hassle.
