We only booked one night, and soon wished we’d made it two. The rooms were wonderful, each with its own private bathroom, and breakfast was excellent. Sharing conversation with other guests made the place feel welcoming and homey. The owner greeted us warmly at the entrance. Inside, the Victorian home is full of beautiful architecture and woodwork, with so much history and charm. It has such an inviting feel that you want to stay longer. Thanks again, Brandon, for a lovely experience. We’ll be back for two nights next time.

Brandon made us feel like special guests, and the breakfast was delicious. The Castle itself is beautiful, with spectacularly decorated, very comfortable rooms. We’ll definitely stay there again.

My husband surprised me with a birthday stay, and I felt like royalty. The owner’s care shows in every detail of the decor and service. He greeted us by our first names and made us feel comfortable and welcome. I’d encourage anyone to take the chance to stay at this gorgeous bed and breakfast.

We made good use of the common areas for reading and relaxing, and Brandon’s made-from-scratch breakfast was fantastic. His home was very clean, and he created such a warm, charming atmosphere. He was courteous and gave us great recommendations for the greater La Crosse area. We’ll definitely be coming back, and recommend staying here.

Even after reading all the glowing reviews, Castle La Crosse surpassed what we expected. The house and its history are beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable, with thoughtful updates that preserve the original Gilded Age features and charm. Billy and Brandon were wonderful hosts. And don’t miss Brandon’s breakfasts. I’ve eaten at many Michelin star restaurants around the world, and his cooking is world class.
