Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Charleston North, SC

We had a spotless, roomy, comfortable room, and Naresh was friendly, professional, and ready to help. The location made it easy to drive to major attractions, restaurants, and transportation, while the hotel itself stayed peaceful and quiet. The amenities were well kept, and the place felt thoughtfully set up for guests. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly return.

The staff were friendly, but I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. The rooms and bathrooms weren't cleaned at all, there was random stuff on the walls and in the shower, and the walls were very thin. The TV remote didn't work. Even after staff tried to fix it, I had to unplug the TV to turn it off. The phone didn't work either, so luckily I had my iPad to watch.

The room was disgusting and clearly hadn't been properly cleaned. We were too grossed out to stay, but when we asked for a refund the staff weren't helpful. The front desk woman even blamed me for not asking to move rooms. I kept following up, and the hotel gave me different explanations rather than refunding me. Don't pay at the hotel, because you won't have a chance to get your money back. Avoid this place if you expect clean rooms or good service.

The place was filthy, and after sleeping in the bed I was itchy. People hung around the hallways and slammed doors all night. Once I came back to find a man sitting on the floor outside my door talking on his phone. I was annoyed and told him so. The third floor was full of people who didn't speak English and had no manners. This place is a hellhole, and I wouldn't stay here. It's on our company's do-not-stay list now, for good reason. Nothing will change there.
