Holiday Inn & Suites Downtown La Crosse

The staff were attentive, and checking in and out was easy. We found the room very comfortable, with a soft enough bed, good appointments, a walk-in shower, and great water pressure. Breakfast offered more than we needed, with a great selection, though I didn't have room to try everything. The location worked perfectly for us. I imagine the river and bridge view from the 4th floor would be delightful, but from our room on the second floor all we could see was a steel wall.

Pretty nice place overall, but there was a wet, used towel in the bathroom, so I think someone had been in there before us. The shower pressure was aggressive.

The breakfast was clean, fresh, hot, and had a good selection. The room was clean too, though it showed some wear. The bathroom sink drained slowly, the shower door wouldn't shut all the way, and the shower shelf was cracked where it attaches.

I travel often, so I notice the details, and the staff here took care of the little things that count. They're well trained, and it's a great hotel in an excellent location. Breakfast was awesome compared with other Fairfield Inns and Holiday Inn locations. They had fresh strawberries and blueberries with whipped cream at the breakfast bar. Keep up the good work.
