Residence Inn by Marriott La Mirada Buena Park

We liked the family layout, with a common area and two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The breakfast was awesome, the beds were comfortable, and the place was super clean. Air conditioning and the refrigerator worked well. The staff were very friendly, and the location was perfect for our disc golf plans in La Mirada, with Knotts and Biola nearby. This wasn’t the best Residence Inn we’ve stayed at, though. It felt dated, with a few broken things, including the bathroom vents and a window shade that wouldn’t come down.

The cleaning staff are friendly, and the front desk support is helpful enough. Management, though, was rude and unprofessional. I’ve never spent thousands of dollars somewhere and had a manager literally mock me. The carpet is extremely dirty, and instead of cleaning it, they soak it in overpowering fragrance. Your socks will be black underneath. There’s also roof work, nats, and flies.

It was dingy and needs upgrades. The carpet was pretty disgusting, and the beds were so uncomfortable. The sofa bed was pretty much impossible to sleep on. In one of the bedrooms, I heard water turning on and off all night. It worked for what we needed, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Check-in was quick and easy, and the host was very helpful. The A/C in my first room wasn’t working properly, but Xavier at the front desk helped by moving me to a room where it worked. I’d highly recommend this location.
