Roaches were everywhere. The owner was a complete jerk and seemed to hate dogs. He charged me for my service dog, which is illegal.

My husband works for The Union and stays here for a couple of weeks at a time quite often. The rates are really good, and the service is very good. The rooms are nice and updated, with bathrooms that have enough room to move around. It’s an older hotel, but still really nice. The grounds keeper is helpful whenever we need anything.

The A.C. barely worked, so I had to buy a floor fan because it was hot, and the maid wouldn’t take out the trash when I asked. During my three nights here, an employee kept walking around the property and harassing guests. Every night he threatened to call the police because I sat on my car listening to music and smoking a cigarette. He said my music was too loud, though it could barely be heard, talked down to me like a child, and stood over me telling me to go inside and sleep or I’d be arrested. I’m a paying adult, the rooms are non-smoking, and I should be able to come outside and smoke. He isn’t the property manager or security officer, so he should mind his own business. Worst place and management anywhere. Think twice before staying here.

It’s open and spacious, with no stairs or elevators. Animals are welcome, but there are no smoke-free rooms at all. If you have a future truck driver, you’ll see trucks in the traffic all day. We’ll see.
