Baymont by Wyndham Kingman

The bed was hard as a brick, and there wasn’t anywhere to sit, even though the room had space for a chair or desk. The old unit offered only heat or AC, with no easy way to regulate it, and the room smelled moldy. We’re Wyndham members, but the front desk wouldn’t change our room even though the hotel wasn’t full. Breakfast was watery coffee and tiny muffins as hard as bricks. A man was digging through the trash container all night and probably would’ve appreciated them. Calling that breakfast is a stretch. Wyndham, do better or we’re out. A coat of paint on a pig doesn’t make it a lion.

The woman at the front desk was kind about our request to be away from other guests, and moved us to a corner room. We really appreciated that, and had a great night’s sleep. The staff were very friendly, and the location is excellent, with Arby’s in walking distance and several other restaurants nearby. I truly enjoyed the stay and would come back.

Elizabeth made us and our dogs feel welcome at check-in. The room was one of the cleanest I’ve seen, and I stay in hotels three or four nights a week. Shout-out to Brittany the house keeper. I’d definitely stay here again.

We got a double room with an updated bathroom, fridge, and microwave. The mattresses showed their age, but the room was clean. The walls are thin: our neighbors heard us unpacking and taking showers, then banged on the walls. The staff were nice and helpful, and the price was good. It’s a budget hotel, and thank God a room was available. There are two levels and no stairs, plenty of parking, free hot breakfast, and a 24-hour front desk. It’s on Highway 66, only an hour from the Grand Canyon.
