The staff were friendly and the rate was good, but the room felt run down. We stayed two nights with the kids over February Break. One of the main outlets didn’t work, and the manager brought an extension cord. Breakfast was disappointing too: there was no protein, and no bowls for cereal. We were told both hadn’t been delivered. What bothered me most was finding out at checkout that the pool was closed for maintenance. Families often choose a hotel based on the pool, and we should have been told before check-in. When I raised it, the manager didn’t seem to think it mattered. They really need to let guests know when the pool is unavailable.

We picked this place for the pool, only to learn at check-in that it wasn’t working, and I wouldn’t have booked if I’d known. The location is handy for other activities, but check-in was odd: the person at the desk abruptly asked us to wait, then we sat for five minutes despite having a reservation, and the process took nearly ten minutes. Our room was across from the elevator and noisy. When I asked to move, I was told there were no other rooms, though the place didn’t seem full. I’m unhappy and won’t return.

The rooms were immaculate, breakfast was great, and the staff were polite and helpful. I had a fantastic stay at the best Western plus in Laconia, and would recommend it to anyone staying in New Hampshire.

The room was nice, and there was a good range of food at the breakfast bar. But the walls don’t block much sound. The TV in the room next to us was on until 11pm, and our bed’s headboard was against that wall.

The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from, and the room was clean and tidy. There’s a small pool as well. It was fine, and I’d stay again if I needed a place while skiing.
