Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

We got to Lafayette and discovered there was no room for us, even though I'd reserved one a week earlier. My family and I had to scramble to find somewhere else to stay. It turned out well in the end because we're at Smart Stay Inn now, which is much nicer, more accommodating, and recently renovated. If you're after a reasonably priced hotel in Lafayette, try Smart Stay Inn on University.

I lost $60 and my daughter never got to stay at the hotel. When she arrived, management refused to accept her out-of-state temporary ID. I called both the hotel and Priceline to try to sort it out, but neither would make an exception or refund the money over that technicality. I'm very disappointed that neither side made an effort to help. They won't get our business again.

We stayed in room 256 on our USA road trip, and it was probably the worst hotel we had. When I turned on the bathroom light in the morning, I saw a cockroach and killed it. I took it to the front desk to ask for a refund, but the manager said there was nothing she could do because we booked through Expedia. They kept us waiting for an hour and a half before telling us that. There were only six cars in the lot that morning, which may explain things. The manager showed no respect for customers, and there was no breakfast.

This place is total trash. The reviews are right. I'd never stay here again. Save the $67 and sleep in your car.
