Miss Theresa Cami. Ciara are really good people who try to help, and the housekeepers are fine too. Mrs Theresa is the best manager they could have. I feel for her because people call her 24/7 whenever things go wrong. She has a heart and explains each rule when it changes, which lately seems to be every couple of hours. The place is clean, the staff are awesome, and they fixed breakfast. But the renovation has brought workers who act like police and report things to the owner. Now guests aren't allowed to have company at night, and it can feel like walking on eggshells. We pay for our stay, but that doesn't seem to matter when they're willing to put people out. It's cold, it's Christmas and the holidays, and I think that's really sad. I'm grateful we have somewhere to stay, but all these rules are a lot. This is in the hood, not the Hilton or Beverly Hills, and there's a lot of crime in the area. I hate seeing it like this. I think the place may end up empty if visitors aren't allowed and new rules keep coming. People might just turn around and go somewhere else. Some people may not have anyone to visit, but for those who do, I don't think there should be rules about who can come if we're paying for the time we stay. I hope the owner understands, especially since it's cold outside and the holidays.

At 11:30 PM, after a long day of travel, we were still waiting for more than 40 minutes because staff didn't seem to know which rooms were clean, occupied, or available. We were traveling with elderly parents and a small child, and had booked two rooms with two queen beds apiece. We were first given adjacent rooms, which we appreciated, but one smelled strongly of marijuana and had water leaking from the sink, so it couldn't be used. After we reported it, we waited over 20 minutes and were handed keys to a room with one king bed instead of another two-queen room. That room was not ready either: the bed was unmade and trash was still there. There was also a strong marijuana smell around the front desk. The woman who initially checked us in was polite and courteous, which I appreciated. A refund was eventually offered, but the poor cleanliness, disorganization, and failure to understand our basic room needs made the stay very stressful and disappointing.

The woman who checked me in was really nice, but this was one of my worst hotel stays. The room was filthy, with dirty socks on the couch, garbage left behind, an empty tissue box, and a used coffee cup on the counter. The bathroom sink was coming off the wall, and the whole hotel smelled strongly of cigarettes. People kept coming and going to visit friends, and the area felt rough. In the halls, people were yelling past 1, with a dog barking nonstop on top of it. Breakfast was a joke: we came down at 7 and everything was gone, or perhaps nothing had been put out. The waffle machine undercooked the waffles, and there was no syrup.

The room was okay, but the A/C barely worked, so it stayed hot all night. The next morning's breakfast was a joke, and I can't even explain how bad it was. The pool was freezing, too. The neighborhood felt very sketchy. When we arrived, three people who looked homeless were sitting by the sign with their belongings scattered around. We were given the wrong room at check-in, and the only correct one was on the second floor with no elevator. Later, a man who seemed under the influence was standing by our room. He moved when he saw us, then staggered back and forth down the hall. It was scary. I'll never return, and I can't believe Choice Hotels is associated with this place.

The rooms aren't bad, but the location is terrible and feels dangerous. Keep your car doors locked and stay in your room.
