Residence Inn by Marriott Lafayette

It felt like staying in a little apartment, with a fully working kitchen and guest laundry on site. The room was updated and comfortable, the beds were super comfortable, and the heated pool was a real nice perk. There's a gym, too. Staff were friendly, and overall it was a nice stay.

The room was immaculate, and the bar was just what we needed. It was also easy to get to several restaurants and shopping spots nearby. The front desk staff were a lot of fun: I asked how to earn more points and ended up answering 16 trivia questions, laughing a lot, and walking away with extra Marriott Bonus Points and some random October facts in my head. I'll definitely return on my next visit.

02/08/2026, after 1am. I've stayed in hotels across the U.S. and in other countries, so I expected at least basic politeness. The receptionist wasn't polite, and acted as if I were asking her for a favor. As a business man, that was disappointing.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast tasted great, but our first night was rough. We were put in room 218, a hearing impaired room we hadn't requested, right beside the blowers serving the whole hotel. They were very loud and kept going, so we didn't sleep well. The next night we were so worn out from our activities that we passed out. As a Bonvoy member and card holder, I also wondered if the two water bottles at check-in were a mistake, since other members had bags.
