Baymont Inn & Suites LaGrange

The staff were really friendly, and the location was handy, with Cracker Barrel within walking distance. Our room was clean, and they honored my request for a ground-floor room, which made things easier with our dog. Breakfast was okay. The queen bed we reserved felt more like a double, only a little bigger. We also had to go down to the lobby for an ice bucket. There wasn’t a coffee maker in the room, and the lobby coffee wasn’t very good.

Laura and the team at Baymont Lagrange were wonderful with us. The saltwater pool was clean and just the right temperature, and the beds were comfortable too. My family and I had a great time and will definitely come back. Thanks for taking such good care of us.

The suite was spacious, but I’d rate the room itself about 5 out of 10. Most of the bulbs didn’t work, and neither did the plugs. There were panties left on the balcony, hair in the shower, and roaches. The service was good, which made the room problems all the more disappointing. At the price I paid, I expected it to be clean, with working fixtures and no bugs. I didn’t feel comfortable there.

My kids and I are really disappointed. We booked this place in February specifically for the indoor pool, and while it’s about 40 degrees outside, the pool room windows are all wide open. It’s freezing in there, and the water is freezing too, probably because of those open windows. The woman on the phone said the pool was heated but didn’t tell me about the windows. The hot tub looks like it’s been filled in, and what might have been a sauna is being used as a storage closet. We’re checking out and going somewhere else. What a bummer.
