Capri Laguna on the Beach

We had a car but didn't need it, thanks to the free Laguna Beach Trolley that can take you anywhere you want to go. Parking on site is tight, so I'd suggest the second lot with the EV charger, less than 100 yards away. Weekends were very busy, while weekdays felt less crowded. We chose the resort for its beachfront location on our first trip to SoCal, and had the best time. Everyone was so nice, and the location was to die for. The rooms are basic, but when we asked, we were moved to one with more storage and a better view. The heated pool was lovely, and there were lots of patios for a glass of wine and those fabulous sunsets. We'll definitely stay again when we're in the area.

The Capri has a great feel throughout, and I'm super stoked with my stay. I’d come back 100%. I spent a lot of time in the lobby with Nick, Morgan, Bachir, and Esme. They're genuinely awesome people and made the visit even better. The lobby also had fresh water, coffee machines, snacks, cookies, and pretty much anything you might want after a day in the sun. As a surfer, I was hyped to find surfboards to use, along with plenty of towels and umbrellas. There's a nice lounging spot for tanning and picnic tables where you can eat lunch and hang out. The hotel is right on the beach, with unreal views and some of the best sunsets I've seen. You can see Catalina on a clear day. The main strip, shops, good food, and coffee are all a few minutes away on foot, so getting around felt effortless.

For our anniversary we had an oceanfront room at Capri Laguna, where hearing the waves from inside was a peaceful, memorable part of the trip. The property is older but clearly well maintained, and it has a great feel. Service was excellent, breakfast was decent, and parking caused us no issues, which was a huge plus. The only small letdown was the flower and champagne arrangement we ordered. It was a nice gesture, but seemed a bit overpriced for what we got. That was minor in an otherwise fantastic stay. We'd definitely recommend it for a beautiful seaside getaway.

The staff made our much-needed getaway with my sisters extra memorable. Bachir, Nick, Morgan, and Esmerelda were helpful, sweet, and so accommodating. They even sent flowers to our room! We were so happy we stayed at Capri Laguna. The beautiful views and beach right outside were wonderful, and many places are walkable. For anything farther, just hop on the free trolley.
