Le Petit Pali Laguna Beach

The location worked perfectly, just a short walk down to Montage beach, with a stunning coastline. It made for such a peaceful little escape, and we can’t wait to return. We booked a cute getaway from the city and it went beyond what we expected. Katie greeted us warmly at the front, Michael made an incredible margarita, and Karen had fresh croissants ready in the morning. They even delivered cookies at 6 p.m. The space was adorable, with thoughtful little things like a tea kettle, vintage speaker, and charming mini fridge. Everything felt quaint and special.

We got to watch the sunset every day, and the decor and look of the room were lovely. The hotel’s location overlooking the laguna beach made for a memorable stay. The staff were very friendly. Collette, though I’m not sure that’s how she spells her name, was especially warm and helpful, and recommended a few local gems. The in-room coffee machine wasn’t working, but they fixed it promptly once we reported it.

The staff were wonderful, treating me and other guests with respect, answering questions, and going out of their way to make things right. My room was Room 11, and I loved it. The rooms were very clean and charming, with comfortable bedding, an old-fashioned-looking “ice box,” mini chocolates, complimentary lotion and shampoo, and cookies delivered each night. The pool was fantastic, with comfy loungers, towels, palms overhead, and beautiful flowers around the property. At check-in we got complimentary champagne, and breakfast was included each day: champagne, mimosas, coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit, granola, delicious yogurt, bread, and pastries. One suggestion, the pastries could be smaller. Yes, they can be too big, and most guests could barely finish half. Across the street is beautiful Treasure Island beach, good for lounging, looking for sea glass, or watching the nightly sunsets Southern California is known for. There are also good restaurants in walking distance, including a great sushi spot and a delicious pizza place next door. The hotel has plenty of parking and is about a 30-minute drive from John Wayne Airport. South Laguna is less busy than North Laguna, and the newly opened boutique hotel is across from the Montage Hotel and Treasure Island Beach. Le Petit Pali Laguna Beach is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in years. I think the vibe suits adults best, though they do allow children. It’s great for couples, singles, or bachelorette and girls’ getaways. I’d highly recommend it and am excited to try some of their sister properties.

It felt like home, with luxurious accommodations, impeccable design, and wonderful service. We really didn’t want to leave, which says it all. We’ll absolutely be back. PS, best cocktails! From arrival, everything felt intentional. The design was beautiful but comfortable, elevated while still welcoming, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. The service felt personal, not transactional.
