Woods Cove Inn

A little room, but that didn’t bother me when the beach is across the street, down a staircase. At low tide there’s a lovely little cove, though high tide is too high. Some rooms have jacuzzi tubs, and there’s a pool that I think is unheated. Rates are great for the area. It’s a bit of a way from downtown, but there’s still plenty to do. This was in winter, when the tourists are gone. Summer in Laguna Beach is chaos. It’s a cute, simple motel, with carpet-free, very clean rooms. The staff are nice, and the owner lives upstairs and is super chill.

The cove across the street was the best part, quiet and peaceful, and easy to reach on foot. Restaurants and other stretches of beach were walkable too. We were sad to leave for Arizona, but we’ll definitely stay at Laguna Beach Inn again, next time with our baby. After an eight-hour drive from Arizona, it was just what we needed. I was there with my boyfriend and our service dog, and at 34 weeks pregnant I’d been a little worried about how the three-night stay would go. It turned out to be an awesome time. The room was clean, the maid kept on top of things, breakfast coffee and juice were served every morning, and the staff were friendly.

The staff were attentive and cheerful about making guests feel welcome, and breakfast was just right. The room always smelled fresh, with cozy bedding and a comfortable night’s sleep. It’s reasonably quiet, simply charming, and in a great location. I’ll be back, and I’ve recommended this little gem to plenty of people.

The staff, especially Greg, made our stay. He checked in regularly to see if he could make things better, and his warmth and care felt completely genuine. The location and features are hard to beat for the price, too. We loved Laguna Beach Inn, with the beach right across the street, a pool, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Thanks for having us at your little Inn on the beach!
