Fort Randall Casino Hotel

With icy roads outside, having a comfortable place to stay after the wrestling tournament was a relief. Even though the hotel was full, check-in and the service were great. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant was excellent too. I had the hot beef, and my husband enjoyed the prime rib.

The birthday money machine gave me $238 in casino play, which was a pretty fun surprise. The Fort Randall Casino Employees really knew how to treat a birthday girl! Everyone was welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was fun, and the food was delicious. The casino was great too. If you’ve got a few nickels and a minute, it’s worth stopping by to try your luck. I’m coming back as soon as I can! Five stars.

The place was extremely hot inside, with no air conditioning. The slots seemed old, and I didn’t see Dragon Link or any modern games. The radio hype definitely wasn’t worth it. I won’t go back.

Some people on staff were pleasant, but others weren’t very friendly. The hotel room felt sticky on the dresser, nightstand, and wall, and there wasn’t a laundry bag for dirty clothes. They did kindly take care of our laundry, though, and I really appreciate that. The hotel staff at night were lovely; the daytime staff were much less friendly. At the casino it was the other way around. My guy and I stayed the whole week while he was working in Wagner. We’d been checking in at the casino all week, where they ran his ID through the computer, and everything had been fine. On Thursday night, we went in for a drink like we had all week, but they said his ID was expired. We knew that, and he showed them our state’s temporary ID, but they wouldn’t accept it because that had expired too. His job had kept us from getting his new ID mailed back home yet. He couldn’t even get dinner, since the restaurant is part of the casino and requires a current ID.
