Blue Heron Vacation Condos by Lexington

The roaches made it hard to relax. One crawled on me while I was sitting on the couch, and I killed a few more during the stay. It didn’t seem infested, but I was on edge and kept checking the beds. Before driving home, I even bought plastic bins for our suitcases and bagged them up so I could wash and clean everything once we got back. The place itself was beautiful and peaceful, in a great location, with a lovely view and everything we needed. I came away with mixed feelings.

We’ve stayed at this complex twice now. The location worked well for us, with activities nearby that were easy to get to.

We stayed in room 704 in Tower 2. The front desk women listened to our concerns and did their best to answer questions, which I appreciated. The room itself had several problems. The beds were rock hard, there was hair all over the master bathroom walls, and the floors felt so sandy that after our first walk through we started wearing shoes everywhere, even though we usually take them off at the door. The master bedroom TV powered on but wouldn’t play any programs.

The place was restful and quiet, even though it’s only a few hundred feet from a main road. It was clean, neatly laid out, and felt well planned. Security seemed good, with plenty of electronic devices, and the staff were very accommodating. I’d give it 4+ stars, and maybe 4.5 if there were a few more staff. My one concern is that booking through a condo owner can make communication challenging, so I’d book through the resort. I look forward to staying again.
