Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

The character breakfast was my favorite. The food was yummy, and we got to meet Tiana and Cinderella. Our kids also loved the pool and slide, and we had a great time at the spa. The rooms are lovely, though a few areas looked worn and the coffee machine was dusty.

The people are what made our stay at the Grand Floridian stand out. Lauren, the Hotel Manager, led with real composure, and Alfie at the Front Desk took ownership and stayed attentive. Sabrina and Destiny from the Club Level were warm, discreet, proactive, and kept checking in. Their care made a demanding visit much easier to manage. We arrived on an exceptionally busy weekend when the resort was full, so some complications were inevitable. The team communicated openly, kept our comfort and well-being in mind, and worked to find solutions. They were willing to adapt and help at each step, and handled the pressure with professionalism and grace. The Grand Floridian is known for its elegance, but this experience showed me how much its people contribute to that reputation. They faced the challenges directly and took responsibility. That kind of service is what makes a great hotel exceptional. For Disney magic, this is the best place.

Being so close to Magic Kingdom was a big plus, and it was easy to get around by monorail and the other transportation options. We could also hop over to the Polynesian and the Contemporary. The resort was very walkable, and the views were great. We tried several of the dining options and none disappointed us. Big Pine Key had beautiful rooms with floral patterns. The Grand Floridian is one of my favorite Disney hotels I've stayed at, and I'd love to return.

Getting around was easy, with the monorail and buses nearby, and the turnaround between guests seemed well managed. Most of the restaurants were great. Gasparilla was a good spot to eat more affordably, with some healthy choices and excellent coffee. Still, I wasn't impressed for the amount we spent. Our room was near the elevator and lobby, with an unreasonable amount of noise from kids screaming and hanging around there. They moved us, and we finally slept once we were in a quieter room. The hot tub was out of use, and the cold weather kept us from using some amenities.
